Teremana Tequila Review

Contents

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has had a busy year in the movies, from Disney’s Jungle Cruise to Netflix’s current smash, Red Notice. However, the actor and entrepreneur have found success with his other passion: tequila. So, here’s a quick review of Teremana Tequila.

“The Rock” turns everything he touches into gold. Or, as the case may be, Blanco. Teremana has become one of the fastest-growing, celebrity-endorsed spirit brands in history since its inception in March 2020. It sold 300,000 cases in the United States by the end of 2020, accounting for 1% of all tequila imported from Mexico.

Teremana Aejo by The Rock is the latest product from the premium, small-batch tequila maker, and it arrived just in time for the holidays. The new expression is now in small batches using traditional processes. It has aromas of vanilla and agave that are full of rich, toasty oak and a silky finish. Roasted in brick ovens, distilled in copper pot stills, and matured in oak barrels for at least one to two years. The ultimate product is a full-bodied, sweet, and nuanced tequila. Every bottle of Teremana Aejo is hand-dipped in black wax before being hand-packaged at the distillery in the little highland town of Jesus Maria, Jalisco.

So, today, I’ll give you everything you need to know about “The Rock” -ing Teremana.

How it started…

The goal was to create a tequila that people enjoyed. His family and he have been tequila users for many years. And their initial hopes and expectations are to create a tequila that people will love. That was the bottom line; that was always the guiding light. He can speak confidently for the entire team when he says that’s what it came down to — creating and delivering a tequila that, fingers crossed, people would genuinely appreciate and enjoy.

It’s one of the Best Affordable Tequilas on the Market.

When compared to other Blanco-style tequilas, Teremana Tequila falls outside the $35-to-$45 price range. It’s also the most affordable celebrity-endorsed tequila on the 2021 list of Best Celebrity Spirits, Tasted and Ranked, with an average bottle price of $31.

Food + Teremana = PERFECTION

In a year when Americans spent a record amount of time at home, attention-grabbing stories appeared to have a significant impact on the bottom line. In partnership with Salt & Straw, “Dwanta Claus” launched three kinds of tequila-spiked ice cream in December. More recently, the company invited customers to go out and support their local eateries by promising to pay up to $10 to cover the cost of their guacamole if they drank a Teremana Tequila cocktail.

Why “Teremana”?

Johnson intended to pay homage to his Polynesian roots when naming the brand. The first half of the term “tere” is from the Latin word for earth, “terra”. While the second half, “mana,” is Polynesian for “spirit.” Teremana essentially translates to “spirit of the earth” in its entirety.

As mysterious as “Red Notice”

Destilera Teremana de Agave is located on Highway 316, which runs south from Highway 314 in Jalisco, Mexico, according to tequilamatchmaker.com, a database meant to search and discover tequila. This area is surrounded by agave fields. But in Google Maps street view, there is no distillery to be seen. Instead, when you start a new Google Maps search for Destilera Teremana de Agave, the results show Destilera Casa De Piedra, which is over three hours distant from the apparent address. To cut a long story short, we know the distillery exists but cannot locate it.

Talk about passion!

Teremana is driven by a desire to create great-tasting, well-crafted ultra-premium tequila. And at the distillery, they even have a local artisan to make their copper pot stills. Copper pot stills are used in the production of high-end spirits, resulting in a cleaner, smoother liquor.

Environmentally-Friendly

They take sustainability seriously at Teremana and strive hard to decrease their environmental effect. They take all of the leftover agave fibers from production and transform them into natural compost. Which is then used as organic fertilizer in the agave fields. They also employ cutting-edge water filtration technology to treat the wastewater from production. They shall continue to endeavor to lessen the carbon impact and care for the home for future generations.

What they offer…

Teremana Tequila comes in blanco (unaged) and reposado (aged) varieties. Both are created from 100% Blue Weber agave. It is roasted in traditional brick ovens and distilled in handcrafted copper stills. There are rumors that the brand will release an añejo expression in the future. If this is correct, fans will have to wait for one to three years for the requisite aging to complete.

It’s more than “The Rock”

Unlike some other celebrity-endorsed firms, Johnson is an integral part of the organization. Johnson has aspired to own a tequila firm for more than a decade. When he joined forces with co-founders Dany Garcia, Jenna Fagnan, and Ken Austin, the moment was perfect. They collaborated with a Mexican family-owned distillery to create Destileria Teremana de Agave.

They love their people

Teremana’s mission is simple: to provide high-quality, responsibly sourced tequila that brings people together. One that sparks conversations, generates laughter and provides opportunities to appreciate those who accompany us on our life’s journey. They want Teremana to be an invitation to connect with the land and the people around. Share your thanks and your mana. Now let us pop up a drink and have some fun!

Let’s wrap it up!

Lastly, Teremana is beating its competition, thanks in part to how well it connects with customers. Teremana tequila enthusiasts have many reasons to fall head over heels for Teremana. All the way from creative marketing initiatives to heartwarming social media.

Johnson’s Teremana Tequila brand, which debuted in March (just at the onset of the Covid-19 outbreak), has swiftly become one of the market’s most popular — and sought-after — celebrity spirits. Following the release of Blanco and Reposado expressions, the company will offer an Aejo this month on store shelves and online delivery platforms.

Nowadays, there are a lot of celebrities who are entering the tequila business. And, we can’t deny the fact that they’re really good at what they do!

Don’t forget to share this review with your friends. Might as well try the Teremana Tequila for a better experience!
